The National Book Development Board (NBDB) will hold a storytelling session on February 20, 2020 in San Jose, Antique. Aimed at cultivating a love for reading and lifelong learning among children, the event is part of Booklatan sa Bayan: Training Workshop on Illustrating Children’s Stories to be conducted in the province in celebration of the National Arts Month.

Interested individuals who want to serve as a Storyteller in said event are advised to e-mail (Subject Title: SURNAME_STORYTELLER_BSB ANTIQUE) the following requirements to fmetd@nbdb.gov.ph not later than 5:00 PM of January 22, 2020 (Wednesday):

1. Curriculum vitae (highlight previous storytelling engagements);
2. Bionote;
3. Copy of valid government-issued ID; and
4. Copy of recent NBDB Certificate of Registration (if any).

The Field Monitoring, Education and Training Division (FMETD) of the NBDB shall review all documents received and notify the successful individual via e-mail and text message on January 24, 2020. The Storyteller shall be paid a professional fee commensurate to his/her level of competency as well as provided with airfare (as applicable), hotel accommodation, and meals during the storytelling session.
