(4) National Book Development Trust Fund (2022) A writing grant that provides funding for authors to complete their manuscripts, particularly in science and technology, and in subject areas wherein locally authored books are either few or nonexistent. This year, we focus on books for the global audience. Application period: starts on June 2022 (tentative) Filipino authors
(5) Publication Grant Provide financial subsidies to the publication of Filipino-authored books for the global audience, covering copyediting, layout, design, and printing of books. (7) Manila International Book Fair Support local booksellers and publishers at the MIBF 2022 by subsidizing their stands. (8) The Book Nook The Book Nook is a flagship program of the National Book Development Board in bringing in safe and friendly reading spaces among indigenous and vulnerable communities of the country, consistent with the overarching goal of promoting a culture of reading. (9) Regional Book Fairs (2022) Provides grants to organizations to hold book fairs in the *regions in 2022. The grant covers all administrative costs to set up the program, including fees for booth rental by publishers. Organizers cannot charge entrance fees.
